This procedure provides a framework to assist Environmental Health and the Water Agency in applying the Precautionary Principle to decisions regarding mosquito control and storm water discharges into County surface water (respectively), the two projects selected to pilot implementation of the Precautionary Principle in Mendocino County.
A major aspect of the Precautionary Principle is transparency and public
participation. To that end, our website,
mendoprecaution.org,
is an active portal for information related to our progress in
Mendocino County.
Please review the
Procedure
and take advantage of an opportunity to be involved in applying the Precautionary
Principle to the chosen pilot projects.
